Adoptees as Caregivers

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Have you found yourself caring for a family member, loved one, or friend, and/or wondered how being an adopted person may affect or complicate the situation? Do expectations differ amongst non-adopted family members? How does society see us when we’re the caregiver? How does gender influence the dynamic? Hear from adoptees who have lived through this experience while we explore the potentially unique challenges faced in such circumstances. We hope to create a supportive environment for all and plan to stay connected throughout the year via Zoom meetings and/or email/social media.
